Broadus Church invites you to experience the birth of Jesus as the true reason to celebrate Christmas. This free guided tour will walk you through a 1/2 mile trail of nine interactive scenes with over 70 costumed cast members and live animals! Performances will start every 30 minutes.
Large groups (more than 10 people) and those who may need assistance walking through the woods should contact the Church directly; our contact information is at the bottom of this page. A hospitality area will serve guests hot chocolate, coffee, and holiday treats as well as provide additional children's activities after the performance.
Frequently Asked Questions
When should I arrive?
The time on your ticket is when your group will begin walking through The Living Nativity. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ticket time as you will need to park, check-in, and take the hayride from the church to the Nativity trail warming tent, where the performance will begin.
Attendees that have not checked in at least 15 minutes prior to the ticket time risk missing the hayride and may be asked to wait for a later performance.
Late Arrivals and Walk-up Attendees
The hay rides to the trail are scheduled to coincide with the start and end of performances and may not be available for late arrivals.
Walk-up attendees will be accomodated by filling un-redeemed ticket places, including late arrivals. Late arrivals will be accomodated on a first-come, first-served basis just as walk-up participants.
Weather Cancellations
Broadus Church may cancel performances due to existing or forecasted weather.
The email account provided during the ticket purchase will be used for contacting attendees about cancellations.
Cancellations will be made no later than 1 hour in advance of a performance start time. Please check the Church's website or The Living Nativity Facebook page for up-to-date information regarding cancellations. Cancelled performances will not be rescheduled.
If your performance is cancelled, please check back here for additional performances. Tickets will be available until 1 hour before each performance.
Large groups or others that called the Church to reserve tickets should call and make additional arrangements.
I'm not sure if I can make it and I don't want to reserve a ticket that someone else can use. Can I still show up?
Yes! If you do not have a ticket you are welcome to attend and will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets for each showtime will be available until 1 hour prior to the scheduled show time, unless they are sold out. Please feel free to check online and reserve a ticket, otherwise we'll accommodate you as space allows.
Can I bring someone that does not have a ticket?
Yes, we have already planned for additional guests that do not have tickets however, the number of spaces is limited.
Please know that while most circumstances can be accommodated, in the unlikely event that every individual ticket holder each brings one or two non-ticketed guests we would be well over capacity for that particular performance and other arrangements would be required. If in doubt, please call us with any questions!
Handicap Accessibility
Broadus Chuch has limited accomodations for handicapped persons. Please contact the Church directly to discuss your individual needs so we can make the appropriate accomodations and issue you and/or your group tickets.
How long will I be outside?
Please plan to be outside for approximately 1 and 1/2 hours.
After arriving, you will check-in and take a hay ride to a heated party tent where you wait for your performance to begin. The hay ride and wait time will be approximately 30 minutes and the performance along the 1/2 mile wooded trail will last approximately 45 minutes.
Pictures, Videos, and Electronic Devices
We certainly encourage you to take photos and videos during the performance however, we do have some requests:
For the safety of our performers, who's eyes have adjusted to the darkness, and in consideration of others in attendance, please DO NOT TAKE FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY.
Please minimize the use of electronic devices during the performances - the bright screens and sounds from phones and digital cameras are very distracting to others in the darkness and reverance of the wooded trail. If you are using a mobile device, please try to dim the screen if possible and remember to silence all sounds.
Can children come to the event?
Absolutely! This is a family-friendly event and all ages are welcome. In fact, performers and behind-the-scenes volunteers are from all age groups at Broadus Church.
Parents with small children are encouraged to bring wagons or "all-terrain" strollers with them for the performance. To ensure that we have room please reserve a free ticket for children 5 years of age and older; children 4 and younger do not need a ticket.
Live Animals
It is important for your safety and the safety of the animals that you do not attempt to feed or touch the animals during the performance.
My preferred date and time are already sold out, what can I do?
Please contact the Church directly and we will see if we can make accomodations.
Exiting During a Performance
If you need to leave during a performance, please locate one of your trail guides who will assist you out of the wooded area. The trail behind you will not have lights and additional performances will have started.
